Lucida Group, the fast-growing group of specialist insurance broking businesses, has appointed Matthew Gledhill to the role of Group Chief Executive Officer.

Matthew will succeed Mike Joseph, the founder of Right Choice and largest shareholder, who until now has held the dual roles of Chief Underwriting Officer and Group Chief Executive. Following Matthew’s appointment, Mike will be able to focus much more of his time on delivering market-leading loss ratios to the Group’s underwriting partners.

With a career spanning more than 30 years within the insurance industry, Matthew has held a variety of senior executive positions. His most recent undertakings include the role of managing director at life insurer Reviti and 19 years in senior roles at BGL Group.

In his new role, Matthew will oversee the running of the Group’s businesses and harness new directions for growth.
